ANGUL: Two Students of OP Jindal School scored the perfect 10 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in class X exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education which was declared recently. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Executive Director & Location Head of JSPL, Angul felicitated Mahashweta Chatterjee and Sweta Mishra for this superb performance.
Both of them were presented a trophy on May 26, 2014 at the school. Mr. Damodar Mittal, Sr. Vice-President of JSPL, Dr. Saroj Mahapatra, Vice-President (HR) of JSPL and Manager of the School and Mr. Chhanda Charana Das, Principal were present during the felicitation programme, attended by parents, students, teachers and other staff members of the School.
Congratulating the students and teachers of the school for the superb performance in the Class X exam of CBSE, Mr. DK Saraogi said, “The result reflects the OP Jindal School’s determination to impart facility for quality education in the locality. I am sure the foundation laid by the school will encourage the students, who have scored excellent grade in the exam, to perform better in their lives”.
Appreciating the efforts of the students and teachers, Damodar Mittal, Sr. Vice-President of JSPL and Vice-Chairman of OP Jindal School said, “I am sure the hard work and dedication by the students and teachers will bring more name and fame to the school”. Dr. Saroj Mahapatra, Vice-President (HR) of JSPL and Manager of the School complemented the school teachers and staff for their effort.
This year, for the first time, 18 students of OP Jindal School appeared in the Class X exam of CBSE. The School has achieved 100% pass out with 78% of students have placed themselves at CGPA-8 and above. Mahashweta Chatterjee and Sweta Mishra have secured first position with CGPA-10 each followed by Aradhana Dash in second place with CGPA-9.6 and Anju Dubey, Naman Agarwalla, Priyanka S. Fulzele in 3rd position having secured CGPA-9 each.
O.P. Jindal School, Angul is a co-educational ‘Day School’ with about 800 students and 50 staff members. From the academic session 2014-15, the school has been granted permission by CBSE to run Senior Secondary Classes (Class XI & XII).
