Over the years CSR has evolved into a function corporates take a keen interest on. The need to formulate and execute clear CSR strategies has become imperative for organisations to measure the success of their intended objectives. However, the fact remains that doing good definitely leads to good business. No wonder then that a greater number of organisations across the globe are focusing on developing CSR policies that benefit both the society and business itself.
Closer home, after the 2013 amendment to The Companies Act in India, companies are mandated to spend at least 2% of their net profits on CSR initiatives and build a ‘CSR Committee’ to ensure the company’s compliance with India Inc.’s measures towards nation-building. To ensure this happens, businesses must streamline resource allocation, strategic planning, execution, monitoring, and most of all, impact evaluation.
