NEW DELHI: As per available information, the Government has not received any type of funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) heads from the industrial companies of public and private sectors.
The Government has released the National Voluntary Guidelines on Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business in July, 2011. These guidelines are voluntary in nature. The Government has introduced Companies Bill, 2011 in the Parliament. Clause 135 read with Schedule VII in the draft Bill incorporates provisions on CSR.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Mines (Independent Charge) Dinsha Patel in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha on September 7,2012.
