A passionate nature lover and conservationist had memorable childhood in the nature’s lap of Malnad region in Hassan District where rivers Hemavathi and Yagachi converge. He has collection of several native seeds and promotes kitchen gardens which he believes can guarantee nutrition to every household.

In his collection he has 28 types of banana plants which he has collected painstakingly from 5 different states of India Being a Campaign pioneer at United Way Bengaluru he has championed Wake the Lake campaign which is all about restoring the dying lakes of Bengaluru city. So far he along with his team has been instrumental is reviving 45 lakes besides planting over 3.5 lakhs saplings.

He has implemented several other watershed projects such as revival of open wells, Kalyanis (step wells), construction of mini- reservoirs, check dams and naala bunds along with afforestation projects to help sustain our mother earth. Clean and Green Nandi Hill is one of projects aimed to conserve the heritage of Nandi Hills in its pristine glory.

Lantana one of the invasive species is being converted into various furniture and crafts while the hill is being de-toxed. He has received Indira Priyadarshini Award ICC social impact awards, SKOCH Gold Award and FICCI award for inspiring conservation of ecology.
