BHOPAL: Dainik Bhaskar organized Vastradaan (Cloth Donation) Campaign in 9 states (Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra) with the main theme to lend a helping hand to the needy and under privileged group of people during the winter season and give them the feeling of relief and warmth.
As a part of its social responsibility towards the society we live in Dainik Bhaskar Group initiated this campaign during the winter season by distributing warm clothes among the needy and underprivileged group of people. Under this campaign special collection counters were set up in major centers of India where Dainik Bhaskar has its presence. Various groups and associations also joined hands with Dainik Bhaskar in this campaign. All the readers/people who had joined us in the campaign contributed sweaters, blankets, warm clothes, shawls, etc. with their open hearts for the needy segment of the society.
During this initiative approximately 14.60 lac clothes were contributed by the people, which were later on distributed in old age homes, orphanages, homes for special children, blind relief associations and amongst other under privileged group of people.
