BHOPAL: Amongst the people in the world who are suffering from blindness (mainly due to cornea) more than 1.5 crore are from India; out of these 26% individuals are children. If eyes are donated timely than 75% of these blind people can be given the gift of sight and bring light in their lives that are full of darkness. According to the researchers every year 2.5 lakh eyes need to be donated.

It is pleasant gift given by science that even after someone’s death their eyes can be donated to those who can’t see and bring light in their lives. As this has become possible why not contribute our part in helping those who can’t see.

Dainik Bhaskar has initiated this campaign in association with EBAI (Eye Bank Association of India). All consents that are submitted by people in favor of donating their eyes will be sent to the eye banks and EBAI. So let us join in this noble cause and bring light in the lives of people.
