CLIPS India Foundation to Conduct Two-Day CSR Training at Mumbai

MUMBAI : CLIPS India Foundation, in association with Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is organizing two day intensive training on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility principles, practices and strategies’ during June 2-3, 2015 at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India.

The Training : The training aims to provide participants with practical tools, methods and expert insights on planning, implementing and assessing CSR strategy by using systems-based approach.

Course leaders will examine best practices in stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, reporting and communication and draw on lessons learnt from successful global and national CSR programmes.

Participants will spend two days bridging theory and practice in a blend of lectures, case studies, breakout sessions, as well as, networking and building long-lasting partnerships with leaders and experts in the field of CSR.TISS Logo

Topics of the training  include: CSR concepts, legislative framework and guidelines, Global trends and drivers,CSR and Sustainability, CSR strategy and policy formulation, role of social research, Stakeholder engagement and assessing key risks, partner management and reporting & communication to stakeholders

Takeaways:  The training will provide greater awareness and understanding of CSR concept, the legislative framework and regulatory context (Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013), and global sustainability guidelines and standards, framework and tools to create and structure good CSR strategy and Policy for your company; identify and engage with key CSR and community stakeholders.

Also identify specific community needs, opportunities and partnerships which make sense for your company, skills for effective monitoring and measuring the impact of CSR programmes and skills for successful reporting on CSR activities, community impacts and developing an effective external communications plan.
