Avantha Foundation CEO Yashashree Gurjar to speak at GBC Conference

NEW DELHI: Yashashree Gurjar of the Avantha Group has been invited to speak at the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, to be held in New York City on 2 June 2011.

Ms. Gurjar, who is CEO of Avantha Foundation, has been specifically invited for her experiences in leading Avantha Group’s award-winning corporate social responsibility and HIV/AIDS efforts.

With the tagline ‘Business Driving Change for a Healthier World’, the conference will bring together a uniquely potent mix of leaders and strategists from the private sector along with today’s most respected experts and innovators in global health and development. The conference seeks to elevate the discussion on the corporate response to global health challenges and identify new avenues for future business action. Ms. Gurjar is a panelist on the session titled ‘BRICS and Other Emerging Markets: Health Challenges and Opportunities in Today’s Most Dynamic Economies’.

Ms. Gurjar joins a distinguished panel of speakers, which includes George Soros, Chairman, Soros Fund Management; Ted Turner, Chairman, Turner Enterprises; former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown; Fernando Cardoso, former President of Brazil and President Amadou Toumani Touré of the Republic of Mali.
