NEW DELHI: Aga Khan Foundation (India) is organizing a workshop on Replicating Innovations in Rural Livelihoods. The event will be held at The Park Hotel, New Delhi on Tuesday 6November 2012 from 9:30 to 16:40. Rowland Roome, Chief Executive Officer, Aga Khan Foundation, India informed INDIACSR.
Shri Sam Pitroda, Advisor to Prime Minister, Public Information Infrastructure and Innovation, Government of India, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest and Key Note speaker. Invitees include senior representatives from government agencies, non-government organisations, academic institutions, bilateral and multilateral agencies.
The workshop builds on an Innovation Fund administered by Aga Khan Foundation (India) over the years 2005 to 2011, through support from the European Union-funded Sustainable Community Based Approaches to Livelihoods Enhancement (SCALE) project.
The workshop aims to share experiences and facilitate discussion on how development programmes can draw from and replicate successful innovations to strengthen rural livelihoods.
