The Consumer Guidance Society of India To Organize Consumer Grievance Redressal Camp

MUMBAI : The Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI) is organizing a consumer Grievance Redressal Camp at Shrikrishna Mandir Hall, Borivali East, Mumbai on Sunday 1 March 2015. CGSI has proposed the following methodology and urged the Consumers to register their complaint on Toll Free Helpline .CGSI expect the companies to receive and review the cases and come prepared for the consumer camp on 1 March.

“We are organizing our redressal camp this time in Borivali, Mumbai to reach out to more consumers as we expect about 100 complainants across Mumbai and nearby areas to attend this Camp,” said Dr. M.S. Kamath, Hon. Secretary, CGSI.

To avoid unnecessary disturbances, CGSI may propose a nominal administrative fee, depending on its complexity. Depending on the quantum of cases received, CGSI will allot time slots to the companies and consumers and inform their time slot and venue.

Consumers who wish to participate in this Camp can register their complaints by the following four modes:

By calling up on Toll Free Helpline No. 1800 222262 between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., and register their compliant, by sending an e-mail to mah.helpline@gmail.com , by sending an SMS to Cell No. 9773336400 with their Name, Area and Name of Company against whom they have a complaint or by writing a letter to the Society at its official address

The Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI) has been selected by the Government of Maharashtra and Government of India and is already operating a Toll Free Helpline (No. 1800 222262) for redressal of consumer grievances in Maharashtra. CGSI proposes to hold several “Consumer Grievance Redressal Camps” in which leading Professionals & Personalities, of various industries & trades (e.g. banking, telecommunication, insurance, consumer durable goods manufacturers and service providers) will be invited to address the grievance of customers in predefined time slots.

The Consumer Camp aims to cover all consumer subjects including but not restricted to: Banking, Credit Cards, Financial Services, Airlines, Railways, Transport, Food, Medical Services, Govt. Services, RTI, Weights & Measures, Telecom, Construction & Realty, MRP, Online purchasing, Electronics & Mobiles.
