MUMBAI: The International Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (IICSR) supported by ESSAR Foundation and ZoneStartups organized NextStep event to promote and connect social entrepreneurs with impact investors and CSR Heads.

nsThe event partnered with VirtualInfo com for entrepreneurs engagement, We make Brands for social media and IndiaCSR News Network as online media partners. The event was panelled by Sanjukta Raiguru, MD SBI Foundation, Priya Kapadia, Head Marico Social Innovation, Jinesh Shah, Partner Omnivore, Anurag Chakravarthy, Partner Aavishkaar, AB Chakravarthy, VP Villgrow, Arijit Bhattacharya, Core member NRI Startups.

The event received 50 plus applications among which 10 entrepreneurs were selected based on several criteria’s. The entrepreneurs came from Gurgaon, Goa, Hyderabad, Banglore from the incubation cells and e-cells in India. They have been working with an aim to solve complex problems in the society by innovative approach in the field of health care, education, hygiene and sanitation, retail, rural tourism, women empowerment, differently abled people. The participating ventures:  Project Mudra, Carenx, Dawailelo, Popup technologies, I solar light, Avteg Skills Training, Pavata, Nativefolks, Tisser and Saral Designs. In the event, 8 entrepreneurs received commitments from the panellists in the form of contribution, investment or mentorship.

IICSR aims to replicate similar events across India to support Start-up India movement and to promote Entrepreneurship as a prospective solution for CSR contribution.
