BARBIL: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL)’s Barbil unit here on Friday observed 69th Republic Day with great pomp and pageantry.
Executive Director, (Mines & Minerals) Ashis Kumar unfurled the tricolour in the presence of Suresha G, EVP & Unit Head, other officials and employees of the Unit.
The message of JSPL’s Chairman Naveen Jindalwas read out on the occasion. In his message, Jindal congratulated all the workers and employees of JSPL Barbil, for producing the highest ever pellet in last November.
“Following the footsteps of Shri OP Jindal and Smt. Savitri Jindal, JSPL is making all-out effort to make India economic self-reliance and is in the verge of a turnaround,” said Jindal in his message.
Addressing the gathering, Ashish Kumar said, “We believe firm steel prices, improving operating performance in steel business and positive free cash flow generation will help JSPL to grow in coming days”.
Suresha said, “Today we have come a long way in the path of free India. Let’s pledge to do our duty of preparing ourselves to be well-educated citizens of tomorrow. Let’s do our duty sincerely and work hard to achieve our goal”.
At the end of the event, 130 workers and employees of several departments of the plant were felicitated for their dedication and hard work. Among others EVP and Head (Commercial) S.K. Agrawal, VP (Mechanical Maintenance & Projects) V.C.S. Rao, AVP and Head (Finance) Manas Dash and, AVP and Head (HR & ES) B.B. Pradhan were present on the occasion.
JSPL Angul celebrates 69th Republic Day with Pomp and Gaiety
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) celebrated 69th republic day on Friday with pomp and fervour at OP Jindal School ground in Jindal Nagar, Angul. The celebration commenced with unfurling of the national Flag by JSPL’s Director – Group HR Rajeev Bhadauria, in presence of Executive Director & Location Head Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Executive Director Atul Kumar Misra, Brig. K.K. Chopra, President of Jindal Mahila Samiti (JMS) Sujata Saraogi, Anjali Misra, AVP-HR & ES Alok Malhotra with various other distinguished guest and HoDs of the Company.
Rajeev Bhadauria read out the message of JSPL’s Chairman Naveen Jindal, in which he reiterated that JSPL is committed to contribute to the progress and prosperity of India. He congratulated the members of JSPL Family for their hard work and dedication.
Adding further Bhadauria advised the gathering to understand the importance of Ashoka Wheel that is present in the middle of our National Flag and told, “the wheel within our National Flag reiterates us always to move for a better tomorrow and everyone needs to keep on rolling to prove him or her as a better citizen”. He also thanked State administration, local people, district administration, workers and employees for their support and contribution in building this mega steel project at Angul.
On this occasion Dinesh Kumar Saraogi and Atul Kumar Misra also addressed the gathering and wished everyone a Happy Republic Day.
Thousands of employees with their family members, school students with staff members O.P. Jindal School (OPJS), DAV Savitri Jindal School and people from the periphery villages joined the grand celebration.
The gathering also witnessed various patriotic and cultural programmes performed by OPJS and DAV-Savitri Jindal High-School students. Chhanda Charan Das, Principal OP Jindal School accorded the Vote of thanks on this occasion.
In similar patriot jest and spirit National Flag was also unfurled at JSPL’s Bhubaneswar office by Prashant Kumar Hota, EVP & Group Head (CSR) in presence of employees.
Dav-Savitri Jindal School, Shramik Vihar and O.P. Jindal Community Collect at Angul also celebrated the republic day. Principal of DAV-Savitri Jindal School Satyanarayan Hota, Head HR & ES, Angul unit, Alok Malhotra and DGM- HR & ES Sanjay Thakur, hoisted the National Flags addressed the gathering, respectively.
