MUMBAI: Malad (West) based Social organisation Gandhi Vichar Manch’s Chairman has begun a signature campaign for installing toilets near the Malad railway station at Malad(W), Mumbai. Now he has begun Swachhta Abhiyan for clear station surroundings. He has donated dustbins and plants trees for the cleaning campaign.

“We have to make Mumbai clean. Now days, every person picks up a broom for photo op on cleaning campaign, but actually does not care. Be it officers of BMC or Railways, no one cares.Only if there is a dustbin, then people will put waste in it. Who will walk one kilometre to throw waste after eating packaged food? I will request the people who do photo op, to install at least 3 dustbins around them. If they see waste, lodge a complaint with BMC or make the little spend to clean it. It will make Mumbai clean and healthy for our families,” says Manmohan Gupta.
