KARNATAKA : Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dharwad district administration.for setting up digital classrooms, district will soon have ‘digital classrooms’.
Speaking to press persons at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here on Saturday, Pralhad Joshi, MP, said that 28 schools in the district would be benefited in the first phase. Two classrooms in each of these select schools would be converted into digital classrooms by providing infrastructure and teachers would be trained, Mr. Joshi. He is also the chairman of a parliamentary standing committee on petroleum and natural gas
“GAIL will spend Rs. 2.7 lakh on each school under its CSR activities and it has agreed to provide assistance to 100 schools in the district. Already Rs. 50 lakh has been released and extension of the facility to other schools will be done in phases ” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Rajendra Cholan said that the digital classrooms would be ready in the select schools by March 31 and training of teachers would also be taken up.
