Don Bosco Past Pupils to Hold Alumni Meet in Aid of Underprivileged Children

MUMBAI: The Past Pupil of Don Bosco – Andheri Unit will be organizing an Alumni Meet for its Almamater, St. Dominic Savio High School. The 8th edition of the Alumni Meet will be held to aid the evening classes for the underprivileged children conducted by the school. The meet will be held on 9th of December, 2012 in premises of St. Dominic Savio High School, Andheri East (A Don Bosco Institution).

All Alumni of the school are invited to participate in the Meet. These study class are conducted in the school for the past 18 years.  The students receive daily tuitions from qualified teachers who also monitor their all round development.

The Alumni Meet will also focus on the needs of the Boys Home; an institution run for orphans, single parent children and children from broken families. The Meet will also felicitate the retired teachers from the school.

Don Bosco Institution- Founded by St. John Bosco, an Italian saint-educator of the nineteenth century. Don Bosco Institution has been in India for almost a century; it has re-defined education and has been instrumental in providing quality education across class barriers by giving equal importance to academics, sports and arts. The Alumni of Don Bosco include film personalities like Late Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Mahesh Bhatt; sports personalities like Ravi Shastri, Farokh Engineer, Ashok Shandiliya and musicians like Hariharan, Trilok Gurtu.
