MUMBAI: Bajaj Electricals Ltd, in association with Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, hosted a tobacco consultation workshop on May 30 to mark the occasion of World No Tobacco Day.
The workshop was curated with the aim to highlight the importance and urgency to adopt tobacco control programs effectively amongst corporates.
The program had diverse stakeholders like various corporate houses and NGOs working in containment of tobacco addiction who helped design the unique workshop.
BEL has strengthened its commitment towards their anti-tobacco campaign, by expanding the programs reach to rural sectors in two districts of Maharashtra – Yavatmal and Wardha.
The program mainly focuses on community level awareness especially among school going children through local stakeholders such as education department, health professionals, police authorities, local leaders and decision makers, NGOs and engaging policymakers to create tobacco free environment.
